## RESORT VILLAGE OF ALICE BEACH
## BYLAW NO. 36
## A BYLAW TO PROHIBIT THE KEEPING OF DANGEROUS DOGS
The Council of The Resort Village of Alice Beach in the Province of Saskatchewan enacts as follows:
1. For the purpose of this Bylaw the Expression:
- 1) any dog without provocation, in a vicious or menacing manner chased or or approached a person or domestic animal in an apparent attitude of attack;
- a) "dangerous dog" shall mean:
- 2) and dog having an inclanation, tendency or disposition to attack without provocation, to cause injury or to otherwise threaten the safety of persons or domestic animals;
- 3) any dog which has without provocation, bitten, inflicted injury, assaulted or otherwise attacked a person or domestic animal;
- 4) any pit bull, rottweiler, Doberman pinscher, German Shepard, Wolf cross, Coyote cross or any dog of any of these mixed breeds;
- b) "owner" includes:
- 1) a person who keeps, possesses or harbors a dog.
- 2) the person responsible for the custody of a minor where the minor is the owner of the dog.
- c) "provocation" means the act done intentionally for the purpose of provoking a dog.
2. No person shall keep, poseess, or harbor a dangerous dog within The Resort Village of Alice Beach.
3. Any person found guilty of an infraction of this Bylaw shall be guilty of an offence and liable on summary conviction to a $500.00 penalty, plus an additional $500.00 for every day the persort remains gufity of offence.
