## BYLAW NO. 6-2009
## A BYLAW RESPECTING FIREWORKS
The Council of the Village of Bethune in the Province of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:
## DEFINITIONS
1. In this Bylaw, unless the context otherwise requires, the expression:
2. (a) "fireworks" means firecrackers, rocket, squib or any other object or substance designed to be exploded or burned to produce noises or briliant lighting effects and does not include paper percussion caps for toy guns.
3. (b) "fireworks display" shall mean a display of fireworks for the entertainment of the public at large.
## PROHIBITION
2. No person shall sell fireworks in the Village of Bethune.
2. No person shall set off, detonate, ignite or cause to be exploded any fireworks in the Village of Bethune at any time whatsoever, provided that this section shall not apply to a fireworks display.
## DISPLAYS
4. (a) The Council of the Village of Bethune may, at their discretion, issue a permit in writing, in Form "A", authorizing a fireworks display.
2. (b) A fireworks display shall be held only in public parks or other places approved by Council.
3. (c) A permit issued under clause (a) of this section shall prescribe the conditions which a display of fireworks may be held in the Village and no person shall conduct a display of fireworks in contravention of such prescribed conditions.
## PENALTY
5. Any person found guilty of an infraction of any of the provisions of this bylaw shall be
