## BYLAW 15/2005 VILLAGE OF BETHUNE A Bylaw of the Village of Bethune, in the Province of Saskatchewan to provide for entering into an agreement respecting the provision of Fire Services for the operation, maintenance and provision of emergency communication services. Council of the Village of Bethune enacts as follows: - This Bylaw shall be known as the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region Fire Services Bylaw. - The Village of Bethune is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Scidie u, Apple tealth Region, the tras of which are atached and marked - The Council has reviewed the contents of the agreement and is consents to its 3. terms. - This Bylaw shall come into force and take effect on the day of final passing thereof. SASKATCHEN Allance ADMINISTRATOR CERTIFIED A TRUE COPY OF BYLAW NO. 15/2005 of the Village Seal Of Bethune adopted by Resolution of Council this 6" day of December zlukATCHENAN) Corporate (Plance ADMINISTRATOR BETWEEN:  ## REGINA QU'APPELLE HEALTH REGION (hereinafter called the "Board") -and- ## VILLAGE OF BETHUNE Rural Fire Department (hereinafter called FIRE SERVICES) WHEREAS Regina Qu' Appelle Health Region and FIRE SERVICES recognize the need for emergency communication and deployment of fire resources within the area known as the "Rural Fire Department" AND WHEREAS the Board wishes to enter into a contract with FIRE SERVICES for the operation, maintenance and provision of emergency communication services in the FIRE SERVICES. AND WHEREAS the parties are desirous of entering into such a contract. NOW THEREFORE THIS AGREEMENT WITNESSES that in consideration of the mutual promises hereinafter specified, the parties agree as follows; 1. In this agreement: 2. (a) Fire Department shall mean that area agreed upon by fire officials and Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region Emergency Medical Services Administration, and may be amended from time to time, 3. (c) "Regina Qu' Appelle Health Region Emergency Medical Services Administration" shall mean those employees of the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region appointed for purposes of administration of this agreement. 4. "Regina Qu' Appelle Health Region Communications Centre" shall mean the communications centre set up by the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region for the purpose of this agreement; 2. "The Region agrees": 6. (a) To provide 24-hour emergency communication services, which shall be the sole location for call receiving, call evaluation and dispatch to the FIRE SERVICES, 7. (b) To provide for data capture, time processing, statistical, digital tape logging and archiving. 3. The parties mutually agree that: 2. (a) Except as hereinafter provided; the term of this Agreement is from April 1, 2005 to March 31, 2011; 3. (c) Notwithstanding that it is the intention of the parties that this Agreement expresses the whole of the contractual arrangement between them, they may mutually amend its terms in writing, specifically to that effect, without the necessity of formally renegotiating this Agreement; 4. (b) Either party to this Agreement may terminate the Agreement by giving written notice of not less than one hundred and twenty (120) days to the other party. ## FEE STRUCTURE Fee structure shall be as per Schedule "A" of this agreement. Should an amendment in the fee be necessary, the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region shall notify the FIRE SERVICES in writing, ninety (90) calendar days in advance of the new fee being implemented. Upon the date of implementation, the new fee schedule will be attached and will become part of this agreement as a replacement and updated Schedule "A". IN WITNESS WHEREOF the Board and the FIRE SERVICES have caused this Agreement to be executed by their duly authorized officers in that behalf the day and year first above written.
