## A BYLAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE OPERATION OF A WATERWORKS SYSTEM
The Council of the Town of Broadview in the Province of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:

3. Any person who confravenes any provisions of this bylaw for which no other penalty is provided shall be guilty ofan offence and liable on summary conviction to penalties provided under the general penalty bylaw of the municipality.
- a] 'municipality' means the Town of Broadview;
- water works' means the murucipal water system;
- c] 'clerk' means the clerk of the municipality.
- The municipality shall have the right to limit the amount of water furnished to any customer, should circumstances seem to warrant such action.
- In case of making repairs to the street mains, or in connecting or repairing service pipes, or in constructing new work, the municipality shall have the right to shut off the service and the water from any consumer, without notice, and keep it shut off as long as may be necessary.
- c] No person shall in any way interfere with any stopcock, pipe or other waterworks appliance outside of his own premises, not shall he in any way interfere with any meter whether inside or outside his premises.
- No person shall obstruct the access to any fire hydrant by placing around, thereon or within twelve feet thereof any stone, brick, lumber dist, rubbish or other material or wilfully or carelessly injure same, or fill up or cover over any curt box, valve box, or in any way tamper with or injure same.
- No person or persons, except the clerk or those acting with his permission or other the direction of the council, or members of the Fire Department in the event of fire, shall open, close or interfere with any hydrant, gate or valve connected with the waterworks.
- No person shall draw water from the municipality system of waterworks otherwise than as provided in this bylaw unless he has first obtained authority so to do from the clerk.
- Any person interfering with any portion of the waterworks system of the municipality shall be guilty of a breach of this bylaw.
