## BYLAW 02/15 A BYLAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE NUMBERING OF BUILDINGS IN THE VILLAGE OF BUENA VISTA The Council of the Village of Buena Vista, in the Province of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows: ## 1. PURPOSE The purpose of this Bylaw is to establish a numbering system for building, structures and land; and provide direction to all Emergency Services used by the Village of Buena Vista. ## 2. AUTHORITY The Village of Buena Vista is responsible for assigning numbers to buildings, structures and land within the Village. ## 3. POSTING OF MUNICIPAL ADDRESS NUMBERS - 3.1 All Buildings and structures must display a number. - 3.2. The number designated by the Village of Buena Vista shall be placed in a position to be clearly visible from the road at all times. - 3.3 Numbers shall be no less than 12.7 centimetres (5 inches) in height - 3.4 If a building or structure is accessible from (2) two roads then the number must be placed in such a way that it is clearly visible from either road. - 3.5 Numbers shall be affixed to buildings and structures at the owners' expense. ## 4. PROHIBITIONS No person shall: - b. Post a number other than the one assigned by the Village of Buena Vista - a. Fail to post or erect a municipal address number ## 5. ENFORCEMENT This By-law shall be enforced by the appointed Bylaw Officer, or any person designated by Council. ( ## 6. PENALTY - 6.1 Any person who violates any provision of this Bylaw shall be deemed guilty of an offence and on notification shall be liable on summary conviction to a penalty of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00). - 6.2 Where a contravention ot this Bylaw is ot a continuing nature, the offender is liable on summary conviction of a minimum fine of fifty dollars ($50.00) per day, exclusive of costs, for each day that the contravention continues. ## EFFECTIVE DATE This Bylaw shall come into force and effect on the day it is passed. <!-- image --> <!-- image --> <!-- image --> Baumgastra Chief Administrative Officer SASKATCHENAN <!-- image --> READ a Second time the Lo ay time thie days: March, 2015.
