TOWN OF CANORA
Bylaw Number 25-05
A BYLAW TO FIX THE WATER AND SANITARY SEWER RATES
The Council of the Town of Canora, in the Province of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:
1) The charges to be paid by water consumers whose water service has been turned on
and for persons who own or occupy premises drained or that are by bylaw required to
be drained into the sanitary sewer shall be those set out in Schedule "A" attached to
this bylaw; provided, however, that the minimum shall be payable in every case
whether or not any water is consumed.
2) Bylaw No. 24-02 is hereby repealed.
3) This rates, charges, tolls or rents contained in this bylaw shall come into force and
take effect on the day of approval being issued by the Local Government Committee
of the Saskatchewan Municipal Board and in any case no sooner than the May, 2025
billing.

SCHEDULE "A" TO BYLAW NO. 25-05
WATER AND SEWER SERVICE CHARGE SCHEDULE
1. The charge for a one-month period of water and sewer shall be as follows:
Where a water and sewer service connection is supplied by the Town:
0 to 2,000 gallons
minimum charge of $43.05 for a one-month period
2,001 to 6,000 gallons
$11.70 per 1,000 gallons
6,001 to 10,000 gallons
$11.85 per 1,000 gallons
Over 10,000 gallons
$12.10 per 1,000 gallons
Where a water service connection only is supplied by the Town:
0 to 2,000 gallons
minimum charge of $39.90 for a one-month period
2,001 to 6,000 gallons
$8.80 per 1,000 gallons
6,001 to 10,000 gallons
$8.90 per 1,000 gallons
Over 10,000 gallons
$9.05 per 1,000 gallons
2. The charge for water drawn from a hydrant or the Town workshop coin-operated
dispenser shall be $26.80 per 1,000 gallons.
3. The charge for water supplied to Canora Rural Public Utility Board (CRPUB) shall be:
Raw water
$5.50 per 1,000 gallons
Treated water
$11.00 per 1,000 gallons
Infrastructure fee
$25,000 annually
4. If an account is not paid within 30 days, the water service shall be disconnected and not
be reconnected until all arrears have been paid together with a reconnection fee of $100.00.
