<!-- image --> ## A BYLAW RESPECTING FIREWORKS The Council of the Town of Cut Knife, in the Province of Saskatchewan, enacts follows: 1. For the purpose of this bylaw the expression: 2. "council" means the council of the Town of Cut Knife; 3. "fireworks" means firecrackers, rockets, squibs or any other substance designed to be exploded or burned to produce noises or brilliant lighting effects and does not include: paper percussion caps for toy guns; firecrackers less than 3 inches in length; sparklers; emergency warning markers on highways or railways; "town" means the Town of Cut Knife. 2. (a) The council may authorize a designated officer of the town to issue to any person or persons who have attained the full age of 18 years a written permit authorizing the setting off in the town or in any part or parts of the town, as may be in the permit, of fireworks or any class or classes thereof, as may be specified in the permit, the duration of which permit may be specified therein. 6. (b) A permit issued under clause (a) of this section shall prescribe conditions under which a display of fireworks or any specified class or classes thereof may be held in town or in any specified part or parts of the town and no shall conduct a display of fireworks in contravention of such prescribed conditions. 7. who contravenes any provision of this bylaw is guilty of an offence and, upon summary conviction, shall be liable to the penalties provided for in the general penalty bylaw of the <!-- image --> PASSED this 14th day of September, 1988 Mayor Certified to be a true copy of Bylaw No. 198 of the Town of Cut Knife: Administrator Administrator
