BYLAW NO. 2023-02
A BYLAW OF THE VILLAGE OF EBENEZER TO FIX THE RATES TO BE CHARGED FOR THE USE AND CONSUMPTION OF WATER AND TO FIX THE SERVICE CHARGE RATES FOR THE USE OF SEWER

The COUNCIL of the Village of Ebenezer, in the Province of Saskatchewan,
enacts as follows:
1.The charges to be paid by the water consumer whose water service has been turned on shall be those set out in Schedule "A" attached;
2.Persons who own or occupy premises drained or that are by required to be drained onto the sewer shall pay for such services a rental rate or service charge in accordance with Schedule "B" attached.
3.Accounts for water services and/or sewer shall cover a period of two successive months. Bills shall be sent in the next month following such period. Accounts shall be paid within a period of thirty days from the date on which such accounts are mailed. If an account is not paid within the period of thirty days, the water service may be shut off. When the water service is cut off, it shall not be turned on until all arrears have been paid, together with a fee of $25.00 to cover the expenses of re-connection.
4.Utility accounts in arrears may be added to property taxes.
5.Where no shut-off or "curb stop" exists to disconnect the service, one can be installed by the Village.
6.Bylaw #2018-07 is hereby repealed. Note Bylaw #3-81; a Bylaw to Require the connection of property to the Sewer and/or Water system, is still in effect.
THE rates, charges, tolls or rents contained in this bylaw shall come into force and take effect on the day of approval being issued by the Local Government Committee or May 8th, 2023 whichever is later.

MONTHLY WATER RATES:
Residential and Commercial
Minimum flat fee of $55.00 per month plus a
water usage charge of $0.015 (1.5ȼ) per gallon.
Farm or Rural
Minimum Flat Fee of $46.00 per month.
