## RESORT VILLAGE OF GLEN HARBOUR BYLAW NO. 75/2024 FIREWORKS BYLAW
The Council of the Resort Village of Glen Harbour in the Province of Saskatchewan enacts as follows:
## PURPOSE:
1. The purpose of this Bylaw is to ensure the safe use of fireworks while ensuring the safety of our residents and their surrounding neighboring properties through the regulated use of fireworks within the Resort Village of Glen Harbour.
## DEFINITIONS:
2. The following definitions apply to this Bylaw
- a. "user" means a person who acquires consumer fireworks; for use;
- b. "consumer fireworks" (Classified under the Explosives Regulations as Type F.1)" means low-hazard fireworks used for outdoor recreational, such as Roman candles, sparklers, fountains, volcanoes, mines, and snakes. Consumer fireworks are meant for public use and do not require a special certification to use.
## GENERAL CONDITIONS
3. Any person that wishes to set off fireworks must so do in accordance with this Bylaw
4. Fireworks can only be set off on the beach shoreline and pointed over the lake, away from all buildings and play structures.
5. The user must clean up firework display area.
7. Fireworks cannot be set off if a fire ban is in effect or if there are windy conditions.
6. Fireworks are not allowed to be set off anywhere else within the Resort Village of Glen Harbour.
8. Property owners shall ensure that those who occupy the property comply with the provisions of this bylaw.
## PROHIBITION
No person shall set off, detonate, ignite, or cause to be exploded any fireworks outside of the designated area. PENALTY
9. Any person found guilty of an infraction of any of the provisions of this Bylaw shall be liable to the penalties as provided in the General Penalty Bylaw of the Village.
## EFFECTIVE DATE
10. This bylaw comes into force and takes effect immediately after having received third reading.
