VILLAGE OF LAIRD ## Village of Laird Bylaw Number 2018 - 02 Penalty added to unpaid Water, Sewer, Garbage and Recycle - 1) Accounts for water service and/or sewer service and garbage/recycle shall cover a period of one month. Accounts shall be paid within a period of thirty days from the date on which such accounts are rendered. If an account is not paid within the period of Ninety days, the water service may be cut off. When the water service is cut off, it shall not be turned on until all arrears have been paid, together with a fee of $50 to cover the expenses of turning off the water and turning it on again; provided that if it is required to turn on the water service outside the employees' regular working hours, the fee shall be $100. 2. A penalty of 2% will be added to all water and sewer accounts outstanding at the date of the next billing. Penalties will be added to bills mailed out in June, 2018.
