The Council of the Town of Langham in the Province of Saskatchewan, in open meeting hereby enacts as follows: 1) Workers under employment by the Town of Langham are hereby empowered to hunt nuisance birds and animals within the corporate limits of and/or on land owned by the Town of Langham. 2) Workers undertaking the task of hunting nuisance birds and animals shall be licensed under Federal and/or Provincial Regulations to carry firearms. 3) Firearm ammunition utilized to hunt nuisance birds shall be of a multi projectile type. 4) Firearm ammunition utilized to hunt nuisance animals may be of either a single or multi projectile type. Single projectile ammunition shall be of twenty-two (22) caliber or smaller size except in cases where the nuisance animal is deemed to be an extreme hazard to human safety. 5) Workers discharging firearms under the conditions of this bylaw shall notify the town office of the discharge in the following manner(s): i) During regular office hours, by completing form number NBAR0902 and depositing it in the town office within one (1) hour of the discharge(s). ii) During hours when the town office is closed, by completing form number NBAR0902 and depositing it in the town office via the mail slot in the front door within one (1) hour of the discharge(s). C:\Users\Rylan Grant\Desktop\Scratch\Town of Langham\Bylaws\Rebecca\2009-02 Nuisance Bird and Animal Bylaw.docx 2 6) Town office staff receiving and/or finding a Form NBAR0902 shall immediately fax a copy of the said form to: i) The Royal Canadian Mounted Police detachment in Warman. ii) The headquarters of the Bylaw Enforcement Officer. 7) This Bylaw shall come into force and take effect on the date of its passing.
