TOWN OF LANGHAM BYLAW 2011-07 A BYLAW OF THE TOWN OF LANGHAM TO REGULATE ALL TERRAIN VEHICLES ___________________________________________________________________________ The Council of the Town of Langham in the Province of Saskatchewan enacts as follows: SHORT TITLE 1) This Bylaw may be cited as the All Terrain Vehicles Bylaw. PURPOSE 2) The purpose of this Bylaw is to regulate the operation of All Terrain Vehicles within the corporate limits of the Town of Langham. DEFINITIONS 3) In this Bylaw, a) "Town" means the Town of Langham. b) "all terrain vehicle" means all terrain vehicles as defined in the All Terrain Vehicles Act". APPLICATION 4) Except as otherwise provided, this Bylaw applies to every all terrain vehicle and every part of the All Terrain Vehicles Act applies verbatim. PERMITTED USES 5) No all terrain vehicle my operate within the corporate limits of the Town except as provided below: a) Resident all terrain vehicle owners may operate their all terrain vehicle in a safe and secure manner in order to enter or exit the corporate limits of the Town in the shortest, most direct route from their residence to the Town limit. b) Resident all terrain vehicle owners may operate their all terrain vehicle in the Town for the purpose of meaningful movement of snow. c) Resident all terrain vehicle owners may operate their all terrain vehicle in the Town for any purpose if requested to do so by an officer of the law. PENALTY 6) Any person who has committed an office under this Bylaw may pay a voluntary penalty of one thousand dollars ($1000.00) provided however that if the payment is made within ten (10) days of the ticket or notice, the penalty will be reduced to one hundred dollars ($100.00). REPEAL 7) Bylaws No. 3-88 and 2007-06 are hereby repealed. COMING INTO FORCE 8) This Bylaw shall come into force and effect on the day it is adopted.
