## RESORT VILLAGE OF MANITOU BEACH Bylaw No. 1/98
A BYLAW OF THE RESORT VILLAGE OF MANITOU BEACH IN THE PROVINCE OF SASKATCHEWAN TO REGULATE THE BURNING OF REFUSE WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF THE RESORT VILLAGE OF MANITOU BEACH.
The Council of the Resort Village of Manitou Beach in the Province of Saskatchewan, fader the authority of the Saskatchewan Clean Air Act, Section 18, hereby enacts as
## Definitions
## Prohibition
- All terms and expressions used in this bylaw shall have the same respective meanings as in Section 2 and 18 of The Clean Air Act and Section 11 of The Clean Air Regulations.
2. No person shall cause or permit to be caused the open burning of trash, refuse, garbage, industrial waste or any other material or waste in an open fire or an incinerator in a manner that causes air pollution within the boundaries of the Resort Village of Manitou Beach.
Incinerators 3. No person shall cause or permit to be caused the burning of trash, refuse, garbage, industrial waste or any other waste material in a manner or in an incinerator other than that approved by the Department of Environment and Resource Management.
Exclusions 4. Sections 2 and 3 of this bylaw do not apply to:
- a) a camp fire or outdoor fireplace used for recreational purposes;
- b) an outdoor fire using charcoal, processed coal or cake for cooking purposes;
- c) A fire for the purpose of burning weeds, the prevention or control of fires or the training of persons for fire fighting, if the fire i pecifically authorized or required pursuant to any Act, Act o Parliament or bylaw of a municipality.
4. Approval from the Council of the Resort Village of Manitou Beach is required prior to causing a fire for the purpose outlined in section 4c). In an emergency situation approval may be obtained from the local fire or police authorities.

Penalties

6. Any person who violates or fails to comply with any of the provisions of this bylaw is guilty of an offense and liable on summary conviction to the penalties set out in The Urban. Municiplaity Acta 1984 or the General Penalty Bylaw of the municipality.
Coming into
Force
7. This bylaw shall not come into force until ninety days after the date of publication of this bylaw in the Watrous Manitou.
This bylaw shall come into force and take effect on the date of approval being issued by the Minister of Environment and Resource Management.
