CITY OF MEADOW LAKE
BYLAW NO. 05/2026
TAX RATE BYLAW
BYLAWOF THE ClTY OF MEADOW LAKETO FIXAND
LEW TAXES AND FOR THE USE OF TAX TOOLS
The Council of the City of Meadow Lake, in the Province
of Saskatchewan
hereby
enacts
Bylaw No. 05/2026 as follows:
1.
This bylaw may be referred to as the "Tax Rate Bylaw"

"MillRate" is defined as a tax rate expressed as mills per dollar (ex. One
millis equal to 1/1,000 ofa dollar or $1 in tax for every $1,000 of taxable
assessment).

The purpose of this bylaw is:
a)
To authorize the City of Meadow Lake to impose a property tax on all
taxable assessments
in the City using a millrate. and use of certain
tax tools including setting a millrate factor and establishing a base
tax, forthe purpose of raising the amount of taxes required to meet
the estimated expenditures and transfers, having regard to estimated
revenues from other sources, as set out in the current year budget.
b)
To authorize the City of Meadow Lake to levy and collect property
taxes on behalf of the Board of Education of the Northwest School
Division No. 203 for the current year.

In accordance with The Cities Act, a municipal Base Tax shall be levied
and applied to the following classes
of properties within the City:

The education property taxes for the Board of Education of the Northwest
School Division No. 203 shall be levied as per the MillRates set by the
Province of Saskatchewan.

Bylaw 01/2025 is hereby repealed
8
This bylaw shall come into force and have effect from the 1st day of January
2026
