BYLAW NO. 4/2008
SEPTIC TANK MAINTENANCE BYLAW
A BYLAW FOR THE TOWN
OF MEADOW CONCERNING THE
REGULATION
OF
SEPTIC TANK MAINTENANCE.
I
The Council of the Town of Meadow Lake, in the Province of Saskatchewan,
enacts
as
follows:
1.
TITLE
This Bylaw shall be known and may be cited as the "Septic Tank Maintenance
Bylaw" of the Town of Meadow Lake.
2.
SCOPE
This Bylaw shall apply to all owners of private septic tank sewage systems
within
the corporate
boundaries
of the Town of Meadow Lake.

3.
REGULATIONS
All property owners who have a 2 stage
septic tank sewage
system connected
to
the
sewer
mains
of
the
Town
of
Meadow
Lake
must
provide
written
documentation
or receipt
to the Town of Meadow
Lake statingthat their septic
tank has been pumped
out by September
30"'of each year. ,
4.
ENFORCEMENT
If the property
owner
fails to provide documentation
by September 30 of each
year
the Town
of Meadow Lake will contract
someone
to pump
out the septic
tank.
A minimum
of $100.00
will be charged
to the propeity
owner
and if the
invoice
is not paid by December
315'of the year the service}was completed,
the
entire
amount
will be added
to the property
taxes
of the parcel where
the septic
tank
was
Iaantnd.
5.
This Bylaw willcome into force after third and final reading.
Introduced and read a first time this 28"'day of January,
2008.
Read a second time this 11"'day of February,
2008.
Read a third time this 11"'day of February,
2008.
