Consolidated to include Bylaw #2195 CITY OF NORTH BATTLEFORD SASKATCHEWAN BYLAW NO. 1978 A BYLAW TO ESTABLISH RATES FOR COLLECTION AND REMOVAL OF RESIDENTIAL HOUSEHOLD WASTE AND RECYCLABLE MATERIALS FOR THE CITY OF NORTH BATTLEFORD. WHEREAS Section 8 of The Cities Act includes authorization for Council to establish fees for services provided by or on behalf of the City, and WHEREAS such services include residential household waste collection and removal and residential recyclable materials collection and removal; NOW THEREFORE the council of the City of North Battleford in open meeting enacts as follows: 1. The following rate shall be charged for the regular scheduled collection and removal of residential household waste: $12.64/month/roll-out cart 2. The following rate shall be charged for the regular scheduled collection and removal of residential recyclable materials: $7.95/month/roll-out cart 3. That rates charged in both Sections 1 and 2 be billed with monthly and/or quarterly utility billings. 4. The definition of household waste shall be that as defined in the "Waste Management Bylaw" of the City of North Battleford. 5. The definition of recyclable material shall be that as defined in the "Waste Management Bylaw" of the City of North Battleford. 6. Bylaw No. 1949 is hereby repealed. Bylaw No. 1978 Page 2 7. This bylaw shall come into force and take effect on the day of the final passing thereof. Introduced and read a first time this 28th, day of April, 2014. When delivery or removal requests exceed one garbage and one recycle roll-out cart exchange per year, the Cart Delivery Recovery Fee shall be billed to the customer. The exchange may include more than 1 garbage or recycle roll-out cart at the prescribed fee. 2. Additional scheduled extra cart pick-ups may be requested and scheduled by contacting City Hall during regular office hours. 3. Additional unscheduled extra cart pick-ups will be applied directly to a customer's next utility bill any time an assigned garbage or recycle container is picked-up more than one (1) time per scheduled collection day including when roll-out carts are moved to another collection area on unscheduled collection days.
