Consolidated to include Bylaw No. 2092 CITY OF NORTH BATTLEFORD SASKATCHEWAN BYLAW NO. 1918 A BYLAW OF THE CITY OF NORTH BATTLEFORD TO ESTABLISH FEES FOR THE PROVISION OF TAX CERTIFICATES, TAX SEARCHES, PROPERTY ASSESSMENT SHEETS AND FOR NSF CHARGES. WHEREAS Subclause 8(3)(c)(i) of The Cities Act authorizes establishing fees and Section 246 of The Cities Act further authorizes a fee for tax certificates, and WHEREAS certain municipal administrative services are exempt from GST, NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the City of North Battleford, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: 1. In this Bylaw: a) "City" means the City of North Battleford; b) "NSF Charge" means a fee charged when a cheque issued to the City cannot be cleared due to "Non-Sufficient Funds" in the account of the cheque writer; c) "Property Assessment Sheet" means the individual assessment information for each property assessed in the City; d) "Tax Certificate" means a binding document on the City showing amounts as described in Section 246 of The Cities Act and includes the folio number, registered owner, civic address, legal description, zoning, mortgage holder, and assessment; e) "Tax Search" means a statement, either verbal or written, that is not binding on the City showing current tax levy and tax status of the property, folio number, civic address, legal description, zoning and assessment. 2. That a fee of $25.00 shall be collected for every tax certificate issued on a property. 3. That a fee of $10.00 shall be collected for every tax search. 4. That a fee of $20.00 shall be collected per property for copies of property assessment sheets and current tax levy statements provided to any other person other than the owner of the property. Bylaw No. 1918 ____________________________________ 2 5. That an NSF charge of $20.00 shall be collected for every NSF cheque returned to the City. 6. That Bylaw No. 1780 is hereby repealed. 7.
