## BYLAW NO. 2124 ## A BYLAW OF THE CITY OF NORTH BATTLEFORD IN THE PROVINCE OF SASKATCHEWAN TO ESTABLISH THE FEES REQUIRED FOR PERMITS UNDER THE NATIONAL BUILDING CODE OF CANADA. WHEREAS the City of North Battleford has by bylaw adopted a Building Bylaw in accordance with the Construction Codes Act and Regulations, the National Building Code of Canada and The National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings. WHEREAS Subsection 8(3) of The Cities Act authorizes a Council, by bylaw, to provide for a system of licences, inspections, permits or approvals and provides for the issuance of fees for such permits; and WHEREAS Section 14 of The Uniform Building and Accessibility Standards Act authorizes a Council, by bylaw, to provide for issuance of permits and regulations thereof; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the City of North Battleford in the Province of Saskatchewan, in an open meeting assembled, hereby enacts as follows: 1. Upon application for a permit, the applicant shall pay to the City of North Battleford permit fees calculated on the estimated cost of the work according to the following schedule: - a) Building permits which include removal, demolition, signs, tanks or any other permit required by the Building and Licensing Inspector - $5.00 per $1,000 of construction value up to $100,000; plus $4.50 per $1,000 of construction value over $100,000; and that the minimum permit fee be set at $75.00. - b) For proceeding without a building permit, the fees shall be doubled. 4. This bylaw shall come into force and take effect on the day of the final passing thereof. 3. Bylaw No. 1919 is hereby repealed. Introduced and read a first time this 18' day of July, 2022.
