## A BYLAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE ERADICATION OF RATS
WHEREAS by section 3 of The Pest Control ict, the Minister if astrue a o2 or dangerous to any or a 2 423, 502 i other property to be a pest for the purpose of the said Act;

WHEREAS the said Minister has by order published in the iss? of for the purpose of the said Act; and WHEREAS the Council of the municipality is of the opinion presently appearing or likely to appear within the muracipality constitute a problem requiring the application of the said control of any pest to which such Act relates:

NuN THEREFORE the Council of The Rural Municipality of Aberdeen
No. 373 enacts as follows:
1. Fortrementpone os the epartment extericut means the Department of Agriculture for the province of Saskatchewan;
"municipality" means the Rural Municipality of Aberdeen No. 373 "owner" includes every person who owns, occupies or controls land within the municipality.
Every owner of land within the municipality shall take the following measures to destroy, control and prevent the spread of rats on his land;
on land or other premises owned, occupied or controlled
(a) he shall provide suitable bait stations wherever required by him according to the recommendation of the department.

(b) he shall keep the said stations continuously stocked with an of the department.
(c) he shall take all necessary precautions to protect humans, livestock and other animals from the bait.

(d) he shall remove or destroy or alter any harborage recommended by the department.
(e) he shall report to the pest control officer of the municipality the existence or suspected existence of rats on land or other premises owned, occupied or controlled by him in the municipality and shall take such measures to destroy control and prevent the spread of such rats as may be recommended by the department.

3. The Council of the municipality shall obtain and keep on hand a supply of bait recommended by the department as suitable for the destruction of rats, in quantities deemed sufficient for eradiction and the Council of the municipality snail supply the bait to an owner of land within the municipality on his request and on such terms and conditions as the Council may deem advisable.
