BYLAW NO. 1/83
* BYLAW IO PROVIDE FOR THE ENTERING INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE TOWN OF ARBORFIELD RESPECTING THE FINANCING, CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF A JOINT MUNICIPAL OFFICE, COUNCIL CHAMBERS AND LIBRARY UNDER PROVISIONS OF SECTION 242 OF THE RURAL MUNICIPALITY ACT. The Council of the Rural Municipality of arborfield No. 456 in the
Province of Saskatchewan enaots as follows :
- 1) The Rural Municipality of arborfield No. 456 is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, attached hereto and forming a part of this Bylaw, and identified as Exhibit "A", with the Town of irborfield for the purpose and terms stated in the agreement.
- 2) Ihe Roove and the secretary treasurer are hereby authorized to sign and execute the attached agreement identified as Exhibit """.

Memorandum of Agreement made this
Between :
The Town of Arborfield
and
The Rural Municipality of Arborfield No. 456
This agreement Witnesseth as Follows :
- 1) The parties to this agreement agree to constrict a joint municipal building t rovide for a rural municipality officg, a town office, common council chamber and library.
- 2) The parties to this agreement agree to construat the building referred to 1i 1) on Lot 17 Block 3 Plan B.D. 200 in the Town of Arborfield
3. The parties to this agreement agree to engage the services of an architectural/ Engineering Firm to provide for the plan, design, engineering and inspection under construction.
4. parties to this agreement agree that the design, plan, costs of the proposed building shall be acceptable to both parties.
5. The parties to this agreement agree to finance the cost of this building on a 50-50 basis.
6. The parties to this a greement agree to finance the repair and maintenance of the building on a 50-50 basis.
7. The parties to this agreement agree to divide on a 50-50 basis any and all revenue derived from the use or rental of all or any portion of the building
- 8) The parties to this agreement agree that the title to the property on which this building is to constructed be transferred to the Rural Municipality of Arborfield No. 456 and the Town of arborfield on an undivided one-half interest
9. The parties to this agreement agree that in consideration of a greater interest previously held in the property by the Rural Municipality of arborfield No. 456 and also certain improvements made to the property, the lown of Arborfield pay the Rural Municipality of Arborfiela No. 456 sum of One Thousand Dollars
- 10) The parties to this agreement agree that the costs of moving and/or demolition of the existing building on the stated property be shared on a 50-50 basis.
- 12) The parties to this agreement agree that any future alterations, renovations of the building be shared on a 50-50 basis.
- 11) The parties to this agreement agree that any proceeds derived from the sale of the building or salvagable portions of the building be shared 50-50.
- 13) The parties to this a greement agree that any costs in providing temporary space for the town and rural municipality offices while the building is under construction be shared on a 50-50 basis.
