## RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF HAZEL DELL NO. 335 BYLAW NO. 3 - 2002 A BYLAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE ERADICATION OF RATS The council of the Rural Municipality of Hazel Dell No. 335 in the Province of Saskatchewan, pursuant to The Pest Control Act, enacts as follows:       1. Every person who owns, occupies or controls land or premises within the Municipality shall control or destroy any rats on the said lands or premises, by: 2. No person shall allow or permit the accumulation of waste food products, animal feed or any other foodstuffs on any property within the Municipality unless such waste food products, animal feed or any other foodstuffs are properly contained or properly disposed of so as not to provide a food source for the rats. 3. The Council shall obtain and keep on hand a supply of bait suitable for the destruction of rats and the Council shall supply such bait as follows: 4. Bylaw No. 7 - 1999 is hereby repealed. - (a) preparing containers of rodenticide baits according to the specifications given to such person by the Pest Control Officer appointed for the said municipality pursuant to The Pest Control Act; - (b) placing such containers at such places on the said lands as may be required by the Pest Control Officer; - (c) keeping the said containers continuously stocked with an adequate supply of rodenticide bait; - (d) taking all reasonable precautions to protect humans, livestock and animals other than rats from the said bait. - (e) removing or destroying or altering any harborage or potential harborage for rats on the said lands; - constructing, repairing or altering buildings, structures and fixtures whether moveable or not to ensure that rats do not have access thereto; and - (g) reporting to the said Pest Control Officer the existence or suspected existence of rats on the said lands. - (a) Free of charge to any resident Ratepayer at his/her request. - (b) At cost to any other land owner, occupier or controller of land for use in all other situations.
