1.
This bylaw shall be cited as "The Hamlet of Okla Water Management Bylaw."
2.
In this bylaw, including this section;
(a) "Municipality" means the Rural Municipality of Hazel Dell No. 335;
(b) "Clerk" means the Administrator of the municipality.
3.
Persons who want to be supplied with water from the municipal system must make
application to the Clerk of the municipality.
4.
Each application shall be accompanied by the payment of a water connection fee in the
sum of $500.00 and as well a water usage fee for the balance of the calendar year of
application at the rate of $15.00 per month.
5.
The owner of the parcel of land who is supplied with water from the municipal system
and who is adjacent to the main lines of the municipal system which are located above,
on or under a street, road or easement may be responsible for the costs of construction,
maintenance, repair and replacement of the portion of the service connection from the
main lines of the system or works to the boundary of the street, road or easement.
6.
The municipality shall have the right to limit the amount of water furnished to any
customer, should circumstances seem to warrant such action.
7.
No person shall convey, sell, dispose of or give away or permit water to be carried or

If an account is not paid within the said period of time, the water service may be cut off.
When the water service is so cut off, it shall not be resumed until all arrears have been
paid together with the costs of having water line dug up and the cost of installing a curb
stop.
11.
If any rates, charges or rent in arrears remain unpaid on December 31, that amount may
be added to, and thereby form part of the taxes on the land or buildings with respect to
which service was provided.
12.
Any person who contravenes any provision of this bylaw for which no other penalty is
provided shall be guilty of an offence and liable upon summary conviction to penalties
provided under the general penalty bylaw of the municipality.
13.
Bylaw No. 2 - 2008 is hereby repealed.
