## BYLAW NO. 3- 2001 A BYLAW TO PROHIBIT OBSTRUCTIONS ADJACENT TO CERTAIN ROAD ALLOWANCES The Council of the Rural Municipality of Laird No. 404, in the Province of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows: <!-- image --> <!-- image --> <!-- image --> <!-- image --> 1. Tor the purpose of this bylsw the expression: - (a) "municipality" means the Rural Municipality of Laird No. 404 of Saskatchewan; - (b) "road" means any road allowance within the municipality other than: - (i) a private road; or - (IL) a provincial highway; er - (ill) a road or highway within the Hamlet of Mennon - (E) "open fences" means rail or wire fences - (d) "corral fences" means any fence constructed of slated boards. 2. No person shall hereafter plant trees or shrubs or place stones, earth or gravel piles, portable structures, corral fences, bales, machinery or other objects on private property - sixty metres from the intersection of two or more roads, - forty five metres from the centre line of any road. - Nothing in Section 2 hereof shall apply with respect to trees or shrubs planted or fences constructed more than five years prier to the passing of this bylaw. 4. No person shall hereafter place open fences closer than 10 metres from the centre line of any road. - The Council may, by order, direct the owner of any private property upon which a tree or shrub has been planted, or a stone, earth or gravel pile, portable structure, corral fence, machinery or other object has been placed in contravention of the provisions of Section 2 hereof, to remove the same within a time stated in such order and the provisions of Section Municipality Act, 1989, shall apply, mutatis mutandis, If the owner falls te comply with the order. - Any person who contravenes the provisions of Section 2 hereof is guilty of an offence and liable on summary conviction to the penalties imposed in the general penalty bylaw of the municipality.
