BYLAW NO. 8/2023
A BYLAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF NUISANCE WILDLIFE CONTROL

The Council for the RM ofLorebum No 254, in the Province of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:
1. Definitions
a. ''Nuisance Wildlife Control Officer" means any person appointed to hunt and dispose of any pest
animals pursuant to this bylaw.
b. For the purpose of the definition of''wildlife" in section 2 of The Wildlife Regulations, 1981,
"vertebrae animal" includes any hybrid animal that has an ancestor, within and including four
generations, that was an individual of a species that is wild by nature.

Regulations
2.1 The Council of the RM of Lorebum No 254 may appoint a Nuisance Wildlife Control Officer
to hunt and dispose of animals within Sunset Beach, The Bays at Diefenbaker and Lakeside RV
Trailer pursuant to this Bylaw.
3.
Wildlife Nuisance Control

3.1 The appointment of a Nuisance Wildlife Control Officer shall commence upon receipt of the
requirements in subsection 3.2 of this Bylaw and a resolution of Council.
3.2 A Nuisance Wildlife Control Officer shall provide the Council of the RM ofLorebum with:
a. a criminal record check from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police;
b. a copy of their current Firearms or Trappers License (Possession Acquisition); and
c. a Nuisance Wildlife Control Permit from Saskatchewan Environment.
3.3 A Nuisance Wildlife Control Officer may exercise activities as outline in subsections 13(3) and
13(3.1) of The Wildlife Regulations, 1981 within Sunset Beach, The Bays at Diefenbaker and
Lakeside RV Trailer.
