## RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH QU'APPELLE NO. 187 BYLAW NO. 16-03
## A BYLAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A WILDLIFE ERADICATION OFFICER
The Council of the Rural Municipality of North Qu'Appelle No. 187 in the Province of Saskatchewan enacts as follows:
1. Council may appoint by resolution a person or persons to be Wildlife Eradication Officer(s) for the Rural Municipality of North Qu'Appelle No.187.
2. The appointment shall be effective for the year in which the appointment is made.
3. The appointment may be terminated by Council or the appointee at any time by giving written notification.
4. The Wildlife Eradication Officer(s) are authorized, pursuant to Section 13(3) of The Wildlife Regulations, to hunt those animals listed in clauses 4(e to I) of The Wildlife Regulations, which includes:
- e. Rodentia (mice and rats), other than red squirrels, muskrats, black-tailed prairie dogs, Ord's kangaroo rats and subject to subsection (2), beavers,
- f. Mephitidae (skunks);
- g. Procyondiae (racoons);
- h. Icteridae (blackbirds), other than rusty blackbirds, bobolinks, Baltimore orioles, Bullock's orioles, orchard orioles and western meadowlarks;
- i. Passeridae (house sparrows);
10. Sturnidae (starlings);
- k. Columbidae (pigeons and doves), other than band-tailed pigeons, mourning doves and white-winged doves;
1. Corvidae (crows, magpies and jays), other than blue jays, gray jays, Clark's nutcrackers and ravens;
within 500 metres of any building, stockade or corral in the municipality without the consent of the owner of the building, stockade or corral.
5. Bylaw No. 08-10 is hereby repealed.
