Bylaw No. 97-6
A Bylaw to restrict the operation of certain vehicles on a specified vehicle classification.
The Council of the Rural Municipality of North Qu'Appelle No. 187, incorporated in the Province of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:
1. For the purpose of this bylaw the expression:
2. (a) "road" means the road north of the NE 33-20-13-W2, thru the 4-21-13-WZ and thru 5-21-13-W2, from the intersection of the road north of the NE 33-20-13-W2 with the road east of the NE 33-20-13-W2 to the south eastern limit of the Town of Fort Qu'Appelle, as shown on Schedule "A" attached hereto;
3. (b) "vehicle" means a vehicle as defined in the Highway Traffic
2. Use of the road shall be restricted to two axle vehicles.
3. Subsection 2 shall not apply to vehicles making a delivery or pick along the road provided that the operator of the vehicle has obtained a municipal permit and uses the most direct route to and from the point of delivery or pick ир.
4. The Administrator shall be authorized to issue the municipal permit, Schedule B' attached hereto, to anyone who qualifies under subsection 3.
5. Subsection 2 shall not apply to vehicles operated for the purpose of maintaining and/or repairing the road.
6. Signs shall be erected of the restricted notify the operators of vehicles that the is restricted.
7. Warning signs shall be erected before the restricted area to warn the operators of vehicles that the road ahead is restricted to two axle vehicles and that no turn around is provided.
8. Any person who contravenes the provisions of this bylaw is guilty offense and summary conviction penalties imposed in the General Penalty Bylaw of the municipality.
