· ## WATER CONSUMPTION RATES - UNORGANIZED HAMLET OF LAC VERT ## RM OF PLEASANTDALE NO. 398 ## BYLAW NO. 08 - 2025 A Bylaw to fix the rates charged for the use and consumption of water in the Unorganized Hamlet of Lac Vert, Saskatchewan. The Council of the Rural Municipality of Pleasantdale #398 in the Province of Saskatchewan enacts as follows: 1. All new water consumers desiring to be supplied with water from the Municipalities' rater system shall make application to the Municipality. Each application shall b companied by the payment of a fee in the sum of $2,000.00 and in the case of property purchase transfer the fee shall be in the sum of $250.00. 3. Every water customer shall pay an infrastructure fee of $11.50 per month in accordance with Schedule "A". 2. The charges to be paid by the water consumer whose water services has been turned on shall be those set out in Schedule "A" attached; however, that the minimum shall be payable in every case whether or not any water is consumed. 4. Account billings for water services shall cover a period of (1) one month at a base rate. 5. Accounts shall be paid by the last day of the month on which the billing has occurred and a monthly penalty of 2.5% will be added to unpaid accounts. 6. Non-payment of an account within the period of 6 consecutive months shall result in amounts being added to the tax roll (Section 369 MA) and shall form part of the taxes owing. 7. Should the arrears owing not be acknowledged at the term of a year; council by resolution shall deem that the service connection be disconnected and a service fee of $1,500.00 shall be applied to the water consumer prior to reconnection. 8. Rates and charges contained in this bylaw shall come into force and take effect on the day of approval being issued by the Saskatchewan Municipal Board. 9. Bylaw 04 - 2023 is hereby repealed.
