## BURAL MUNICIPALITY OF PONASS LAKE NO. 367 ## BYLAW NO. 3: 1995 A Bylaw of the Rural Municipality of Ponass Lake No. 367 to designate the property known as the St. Michael"s Ukrainian Catholic Church of Ponass Lake located on a portion of the Nw 6-37-14 W2 in the province of Saskatchewan as being a site of architectural and historical value. WHEREAS part 111 of The Heritage Property Act authorizes the council of a municipality to enact bylaws to designate real property, including all buildings and structures thereon, to be of architectural, historical or natural value or interest; and WHEREAS the Council of the Rural Municipality of Ponass Lake No. 367 has caused to be served on the owners of the lands and premises known as the St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic church of Ponass Lake on a portion of the NW 6-37-14 W2 a Notice Intention to so designate the aforesaid real property and has caused such Notice of Intention to be published in at least two issues of a newspaper with general circulation in the municipality with the first publication at least twenty-one (21) days prior to the date of consideration of the bylaw and with the last publication at least seven (7) days prior to the date of that consideration; and WHEREAS no Notice of Objection to the proposed designation the Administrator of the Municipality; THEREFORE, the Council the Rural Municipality of Ponass Lake No. 367 enacts as - There is designated as being of architectural and historical value or interest the real property known the St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church Lake in the Rural Municipality of Ponass Lake No. 367 legally described as: All the portion of the North West Quarter of Section Six (6), in Township Thirty-seven (37), in Range Fourteen (14), West of the Second Meridian, in the Province of Saskatchewan, in the Dominion of Canada, more particularly described as follows: COMMENCING: At a point on the West boundary of the said Quarter Section distant Four Hundred and Fortyfive and Five tenths (445.5) feet, South from the North West corner thereof, thence South along the said West boundary a distance of Three Hundred and Thirty (334) feet, thence East and parallel with the North boundary of the said Quarter section Two Hundred and Sixty-four (264) feet, thence North parallel with the West Boundary there of a distance of Three Hundred and Thirty (330) feet; thence West parallel with the said North boundary to the place of commencement. ## MINERALS IN THE CROWN The significance of the site is as follows: - a. Constructed in 1910/1911, the St. Michael"s 2. Ukrainian Catholic Church of Fonass Lake is one of the earliest Churches built in the Rural Municipality of Ponass Lake No. 367. - b. The Church is a landmark in the community. Bylaw No. 3, 1992 cont'd - The rural administrator is hereby authorized to cause copy of this bylaw to be registered against the property described above in the proper Land Titles Office. 3.
