## RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF SUTTON NO. 103
## BYLAW NO. 5/14
## A BYLAW TO PREVENT AND CONTROL THE SPREAD OF MALIGNANT CATARRHAL FEVER
## Definition:
Malignant Catarrhal Fever:
- (b) is caused by a herpes virus;
- (a) is a fatal infectious disease of bison and other ruminants;
- (c) is carried naturally by sheep;
- (d) does not cause disease in sheep, but if transmitted to a susceptible species (such as bison), it can cause disease resulting in death.
With authority by The Planning and Development Act, 2007, which gives the Municipality the authority to govern its community's development interests with respect to land use, the Council of the Rural Municipality of Sutton No. 103 in the Province of Saskatchewan enacts as follows:
1. This bylaw may be referred to as the "MCF Bylaw".
2. This bylaw applies to the entire area of the Rural Municipality of Sutton No. 103.
3. Bison and sheep shall be pastured a minimum of 5 kilometers apart. The pasture established first (either bison or sheep) will be exempt from approval; the subsequently-established pasture, if within that perimeter, will be considered a prohibited use.
4. This bylaw shall come into force on the date of the final passing.
