TOWN OF SALTCOATS
BYLAW NO. 02-2025
A BYLAW OF THE TOWN OF SALTCOATS TO FIX THE RATES TO BE CHARGED
FOR THE USE AND CONSUMPTION OF WATER AND TO FIX THE RATES TO BE
CHARGED BY WAY OF SERVICE CHARGE FOR THE USE OF THE SEWER
THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF SALTCOATS, IN THE PROVINCE OF
SASKATCHEWAN, ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1.
SHORT TITLE:
This bylaw shall be cited as the Water and Sewer Rates Bylaw.

UTILITY RATES AND CHARGES:
WATER RATES: The quarterly rates and charges to be paid by consumers of water
utility services shall be as set out in Schedule "A".
SEWER RATES: The quarterly rates and charges to be paid by consumers of sewer
utility services shall be as set out in Schedule "B".
INTEREST RATE: Utility rates and charges past due shall be charged two (2%) percent
per quarter on the outstanding balance owing at the time of the next billing period. This
interest shall be charged on the total outstanding balance due and is cumulative.
If an account becomes three months in arrears, or in other words, remains unpaid three
months following the service period for which billed, the water service may be cut off.
Water service may be reconnected only once all utility arrears have been paid in full and
a $50.00 reconnection fee has been paid.
BILLING PERIODS
Accounts for water and sewer service shall cover a period of three (3) successive months
and shall be rendered on the first day of the month of the three-month period.
UTILITY CONNECTION FEE
The charges to be paid by the water consumer whose water service has been turned on
shall be set out in Schedule "A" attached.
3.
REPEAL
Bylaws 05-2024 is hereby repealed effective July 1st, 2025.
THE rates, charges, tolls or rents contained in this Bylaw shall come into force and take effect
on the day of approval being issued by the Local Government Committee, or July 1, 2025
whichever is the later.
