TOWN OF TISDALE BYLAW No. 3/09 A BYLAW OF THE TOWN OF TISDALE TO ALLOW FOR HUNTING OF NUISANCE ANIMALS WITHIN THE TOWN OF TISDALE. Whereas it is recognized that crows, magpies, cowbirds, blackbirds, grackles, starlings, English sparrows, common pigeons (rock doves), skunks, racoons, mice and rats may create a nuisance for property owners or for neighbouring property owners; And Whereas Council considers it to be in the public interest to pass a bylaw which allows for the hunting of these animals; And Whereas the Town of Tisdale is empowered by Section 13 of The Wildlife Regulations, 1981 to pass a bylaw regarding the hunting of said animals; Now Therefore, the Council of the Town of Tisdale enacts as follows: Title: 1. This Bylaw may be referred to as the "Hunting Bylaw" of the Town of Tisdale. Definitions: 2. In this Bylaw the expression: (a) "Animal Hunter" shall mean any person appointed by resolution of the Council of the Town of Tisdale to hunt any Nuisance Animal; (b) "Nuisance Animal" shall mean any of the following: crows, magpies, cowbirds, blackbirds, grackles, starlings, English sparrows, common pigeons (rock doves), skunks, racoons, mice and rats; (c) "Town" means the municipal corporation of the Town of Tisdale or the area contained within the boundary thereof as the context requires; (d) "Council" shall mean the Council of the Town of Tisdale. Nuisance: 3. (a) Where the Town's Animal Hunter receives a complaint of a Nuisance Animal the Animal Hunter may shoot the said Nuisance Animal with or without the consent of the property owner on which the Nuisance Animal was found; (b) The Animal Hunter may shoot, or otherwise have removed, any Nuisance Animal found on any property within the Town of Tisdale, at any time; Access to Property: 4. The Animal Hunter shall be allowed reasonable access to any property within the Town of Tisdale for the purpose of hunting, shooting or removing any Nuisance Animal; 5.
