## Resolution 2016-03 - Trash Service (Revised)
This Resolution updates and supersedes Resolution 2014-01
Be it resolved by the Commissioners of the Town of Bellefonte, on this day after fair consideration, that the following is a policy of service regarding Trash and Recycling in the Town:
- 1) All single family and duplex residential properties in all Building Zones will be provided with Trash and Recycling collection and unit will be provided with one trash receptacle, one recycling receptacle and one yard waste container.
- 2) All multi-family residential properties in all Building Zones will be provided with one receptacle per unit, up to a maximum of 6 Trash Receptacles and 6 Recycling Receptacles. If trash exceeds the capacity of these receptacles, it will be the responsibility of the property owner to arrange for additional receptacles or dumpsters at their own expense.
- 3) All commercial properties in all zones will be provided with Trash and Recycling receptacles (limit of two per site) and collection services if this meets their needs. If trash exceeds the capacity of these receptacles, it will be the responsibility of the property owner to arrange for additional receptacles or dumpsters at their own expense.
According to current Delaware Code, recycling is not mandatory, but receptacles must be provided and service offered by all trash haulers. Yard waste can be included in the service but not combined in either trash or recycling containers.
Residents are required to put out trash and recycling no earlier than 7:00 pm on the night before scheduled collection.
Yard Waste collection services are also provided by the Town as part of the program.
Approved by Resolution and effective on the date below.
