§ 222-208. Definitions.
(a) Excessive Noise Level: That level of noise which disturbs the peace, quite, and comfort of any reasonable person of normal sensitiveness residing, visiting or working in the area.
(b) Motor Vehicles: Any automobile, van, truck, motorcycle, or motor scooter.
(c) Modified Exhaust System: An exhaust system in which the original noise abatement devices have been physically altered causing them to be less effective in reducing noise or the original noise abatement devices have either been removed or replaced by noise abatement devices which are not as effective in reducing noise as their original devices, or devices have been added to the original noise abatement devices such that noise levels are increased.
(d) Sound System: A machine or device for the producing or reproducing of sound, including but not limited to radios, cassette tape players, and compact disc players.
(e) Bicycle: That certain class of vehicles which is exclusively human powered by means of foot pedals, which the driver would normally ride astride, which have not in excess of 3 wheels and which may be commonly known as unicycles and bicycles.
(f) Vehicles: Every device, upon which any person or property is or may be transported or drawn on a public highway, except devices moved by human power.
§ 222-209. Use Restrictions
(a) It shall be unlawful for any person within Town limits to use or operate a sound system in a motor vehicle, vehicle or on a bicycle at an excessive noise level.
(b) It shall be unlawful for any person within Town limits to operate a motor vehicle which

## NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED BY THE COMMISSIONERS OF BRIDGEVILLE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Chapter 222 of the Code of Bridgeville be amended by adding a new Article VIII as follows:

§ 222-210. Penalty
Whoever violates this section for the first offense shall be fined not less than $10.00 nor more than $50.00. For each subsequent like offense he shall be fined not less than $25.00 nor more than $100.00.
