<!-- image --> ORDINANCE NO.: 2020-04 ## AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 217 OF THE CODE OF THE TOWN OF BRIDGEVILLE AS IT RELATES TO VACANT BUILDING REGISTRATION WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Bridgeville have all powers granted to municipal corporations and to cities by the Constitution and general law of the State of Delaware, including the implied powers necessary to carry into execution all the powers granted; and WHEREAS, the Commissioners are of the opinion that an amendment to the Code as it relates to VACANT BUILDING REGISTRATION is necessary for the health, peace, safety and well-being of the residents of Bridgeville. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSIONERS OF BRIDGEVILLE, to read as follows: Section 1. Amend Chapter 217 of the Code of the Town of Bridgeville, entitled "Vacant Building Registration", by deleting the delineated text and adding the additional underlined text as follows: 8217-3 Applicability. The requirements of this section shall be applicable to each owner of any building or property consisting of one or more dwellings that shall have been vacant for more than 60 consecutive days one hundred and eighty (180) consecutive days. Each owner shall file a notarized vacant property registration statement, which shall include the street address and parcel number of each vacant building, the names and address of all owners, and any other information deemed necessary by the Town Manager, or their designee. Section 2. If any sentence, clause, section, or part of this Ordinance is found to be inconstitutional, illegal, or invalid, such unconstitutionality, illegality or invalidity shal lot affect or impair any of the remaining provisions, sentences, clauses, sections, or part of this Ordinance. Section 3.
