<!-- image --> ## 2022-05 ## AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 180-6 OF THE CODE OF THE TOWN OF BRIDGEVILLE WHEREAS, the Commissioners of Bridgeville have all powers granted to municipal corporations and to cities by the Constitution and general law of the State of Delaware, including the implied powers necessary to carry into execution all the powers granted; and WHEREAS, the Commissioners are of the opinion that an amendment to the Code as it relates to conducting elections is necessary for the health, peace, safety and well-being of the residents of Bridgeville. ## NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSIONERS OF BRIDGEVILLE, to read as follows: Section 1. Amend Chapter 180-6 A "Certification" of the Code of the Town of Bridgeville, by adding the underlined text as follows: A. Upon receipt of a license application under the provisions of this article, the Town Manager or his/her designee shall then, within 10 business days, perform an inspection of the residential rental property to determine whether such property complies with the current edition of the International Property Maintenance Code and applicable provisions of the Bridgeville Town Code. The Town Manager of his/her designee shall issue a report on his/her findings. No license shall be issued if the premises and building do not comply with the current edition of the International Property Maintenance Code and applicable provisions within the Town Code. The property owner shall be responsible to pay for the cost of the inspection conducted by the Town Manager or his/her designee. Section 2. This Ordinance shall become effective upon its adoption by a majority of all Commissioners.
