# Change In Water and Sewer Service Rates (Bylaw 09-2025)

On April 24th, County Council moved Bylaw 009-2025: Water & Sewer Charges Amendment, to take effect on May 1st, 2025.
The new rates are as follows:
**COLINTON HAMLET**
**Residential** (per dwelling unit) / **Commercial** (per service)
Minimum Charge: 5m3
Usage Fee: $4.24/m3
Sewer Charge: 35% of the actual monthly water billing
**GRASSLAND & WANDERING RIVER HAMLET**
**Residential** (per dwelling unit) / **Commercial** (per service)
Minimum Charge: 5m3
Usage Fee: $6/m3
Sewer Charge: 35% of the actual monthly water billing
**ROCHESTER HAMLET**
**Residential** (per dwelling unit) / **Commercial** (per service)
Residential Sewer Charge: $20.00 per month
Commercial Sewer Charge: $37.08 per month
**RURAL SUBDIVISIONS**
**Residential** (per dwelling unit)
Minimum Charge: 5m3
Usage Fee: $6/m3
**UTILITY ADMINISTRATION FEES**
New Service Connection Fee - Meter size 1.5" and under: $550.00
New Account Fee For Existing Service Connection - Meter size 1.5" and under: $50.00
New Service Connection Fee - Meter size 2" and over: $1,200.00
New Account Fee Existing Service Connection - Meter size 2" and over: $50.00
Data Log: $50.00
Meter Proving: $150.00
Disconnect Services: $50.00
Reconnect Services: $50.00
**TRUCK-FILL STATIONS AT HAMLETS**
Usage Fee: $6/m3
**LAGOON TIPPING FEE**
**Commercial** (per wastewater hauler)
Access/Usage Fee: $650 Flat Yearly (plus GST)
Provides access to all County Lagoons
