OFF-SITE LEVY PAYMENT POLICY |
POLICY NO. 02-19 |
Purpose: :
To create a policy for procedures for payment of Off-Site Levy fees that :
are imposed on newly developed or subdivided parcels of land.
Policy Statement and Guidelines |
A. Pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Government Act, RSA 2000
Chapter M-26, the Council of the Village of Barnwell may pass a Bylaw
to establish an Off-Site levy;
B. The Village of Barnwell has established "Off-Site Levy Bylaw" 5-09 and |
'Off-Site Amending Bylaw" 04-15 which allows for the imposition of an
Off-Site levy fee.
Cc. The Village of Barnwell Council recognizes that the payment of the :
'Off-Site Levy" fee may create a hardship for developers and therefore
; will allow the following option for payment of the fees upon approval by
\ Council: . .
i. The Off-Site Levy fee for the entire development may be divided
by the number of lots created in the subdivision process. This |
per lot amount shall be paid to the Village of Barnwell at such |
time as each lot is sold and/or before an Application for
Development is processed, whichever comes first.
