Your charges are based on the amount of water you use each month, measured in cubic metres. Your bill is calculated by applying the current water and wastewater rates in your area to your monthly consumption. In addition to usage-based charges, your bill includes fixed water and sewer fees, which are determined by your meter size and the level of demand it places on the system.
Because there is a minimum cost to maintain water service, charges may still appear during low-use months. These fixed costs help ensure our water distribution, wastewater collection, and treatment systems are properly maintained, so clean, reliable service is always available when you need it.
