In Hamlets, fences/hedges over 0.91m within 7.62m of a public road right-of-way need a permit and rear/side fences are capped at 1.83m; in Grouped Country Residential areas the threshold is 1.22m within 10m of the road, also 1.83m rear/side; rural fences/hedges/shelterbelts must meet corner sight-triangle setbacks and can't obstruct approaching traffic.
