Encroachment Bylaw limits how far a fence may extend onto municipal land: an enclosure fence may encroach up to 0.3m (max 4.6 sq m total per property), and linear fence projections from a private fence may extend to the back of an existing sidewalk or up to 1.0m from the curb where none exists.
