| A BY-LAW OF THE TOWN OF RAYMOND FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING AN OFF-SITE
COST LEVY

I Under the authority and pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Government
| Act, being chapter 245 of the Revised Statutes of Alberta 1970, the Mayor and
Council of the Town of Raymond hereby enacts:
WHEREAS the Town of Raymond has already constructed adequate services for the
present population and has paid for these services from tax revenue collected
from existing properties in town, and

| WHEREAS the Town of Raymond is growing rapidly as a result of many~new residences
| and buildings being built and moved in, and population is increasing, and

| WHEREAS the esisting services will soon be inadequate to handle the population,
| and

| WHEREAS it will be necessary in the near future to expand the present services
| in order to handle the increasing number of homes and people.
NOW THEREFORE the Mayor and Council hereby enacts:

| Every new building or unit that is serviced by the Town of Raymond sewage system
-- shall pay an off-site cost levy in the amount of $200.00 per dwelling unit. A
|| dwelling unit shall include each apartment in an apartment building, each mobile
home in a mobile home park, each suite in a house or duplex.

The $200.00 levy shall be collected at the time of issuing a building permit which
| permit shall not be issued until the amount plus all other development and building
| fees are paid.
The proceeds from these levies will be used to offset the costs of future expansion
| of water supply,treatment and storage facilities, sewage treatment and disposal
I facilities or any or all of them or any part of them.
This By-law shall be effective retroactive to January 1, 1978
