## BYLAW NO. 1010 OF THE MUNICIPAL DISTRICT OF STARLAND NO. 47
## IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA, CANADA
A Bylaw of the Municipal District of Starland No. 47, in the Province of Alberta, Canada to establish speed limits on roads leading to, and internal roads within the recreation areas in the
AND WHEREAS, the Council is concerned that there are no speed limits currently posted within the boundaries of the recreation areas within the municipality, and that 80 kilometres per hour is an unacceptable speed within these areas;
## NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That the Council of the Municipal District of Starland No. 47 hereby sets the following maximum speed limits:

(a) That the access road into the Starland Recreation Area, shown as roadway on registered plan 831 1724 be posted at a maximum speed of 50 kilometres per hour, and the internal roadway system within the campground, and shown as crown property on registered plan 791 1303, within the N.W. ¼ 15-31-21 W.4 M. be posted at a maximum speed of 20 kilometres per hour.
3. (b) That the access road into the McLaren Dam Recreation Area, shown as roadway on registered plan 821 0838 be posted at a maximum speed of 50 kilometres per hour, and the internal roadway system within the campground, and shown on registered plan 871 0116, within the S.W. ¼ 23-33-18 W. 4 M., be posted at a maximum speed of 20 kilometres per hour.
4. (C) That all roads within the Michichi Campground Area within the S.W. ¼ 19-3018 W. 4 M. be posted at a maximum speed of 20 kilometres per hour.
2. That the Council of the Municipal District of Starland No. 47 hereby authorizes the placing of traffic control devices as deemed necessary.
3. That all penalties imposed under this Bylaw will be as prescribed under the authority of the Highway Traffic Act, being Chapter H-7 of the Revised Statutes of Alberta, and amendments and regulations thereto.
4. That this Bylaw shall take effect at the final passing thereof.
First reading on motion of Councillor McLeod at a Council meeting duly assembled this 28th day of May, 1996. Carried Unanimously.
Second reading on motion of Deputy Reeve Thompson. Carried Unanimously.
Third and final reading on motion of Reeve Grenville. Carried Unanimously.
