As part of Alberta's transition to Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), Sundre's recycling program will be managed by Circular Materials. EPR shifts the responsibility for recycling programs to the producers that create and supply packaging and paper products to residents, including many of the familiar brands and retailers Albertans use every day. Residents will continue to receive their current curbside recycling services and will be able to recycle even more materials beginning in October. The enhanced program is designed to provide a more convenient and consistent recycling experience while helping ensure recyclable materials are collected, processed, and returned to the circular economy for future use.
