## Village of Warburg Bylaw #41/00 A BYLAW OF THE VILLAGE OF WARBURG, IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF REGULATING AND CONTROLLING THE KEEPING OF LIVESTOCK OR POULTRY WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF WARBURG. WHEREAS, the Council of the Village of Warburg deems it desirable that livestock or poultry shall not be kept in the Village of Warburg excepting on: that land which is zones UR - Urban Reserve, with a minimum site area of 7.5 acres and contingent to the animals not being a nuisance to the community and that the property be maintained in a clean and tidy manner, pursuant to the Village of Warburg Land Use By-Law #283 and amendments thereto; THEREFORE under the authority of and subject to the provisions of Section 164 ( c) of the Municipal Government Act, being Chapter M26 of the Revised Statutes of Alberta, 1980, and amendments thereto, The Council of the Village of Warburg, duly assembled, hereby Enacts As Follows: 1. Title This by-law shall be cited as "the livestock" bylaw. 2. Definitions In this by-law: - a) Council - means the Council of the Village of Warburg. - b) Livestock - means farm animals kept or raised for use or pleasure: farm animals kept for use and profit, all domestic animals &amp; poultry, excepting dogs and cats - c) Poultry - means domesticated birds kept for eggs or meat. - d) Village - means the Village of Warburg. ## 3. Regulations - a) No person shall be permitted to keep livestock and/or poultry on any property, which is situated, in the corporate boundaries of the Village of Warburg. - b) Any person violating the provisions of this bylaw is guilty of an offense and liable on summary conviction: - i) for a first offense to a fine of not more than fifty (50.00) dollars. 4. ii) For any subsequent offense to a fine of not more than one hundred (100.00) dollars. - c) All previous by-laws in this regard are hereby rescinded. - d) This by-law shall come into full force and effect upon third and final reading thereof.
