1. ## SUMMER VILLAGE OF WHISPERING HILLS ## BYLAW 10-84 BEING A BYLAW OF THE SUMMER VILLAGE OF WHISPERING HILLS IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA TO REGULATE AND CONTROL VEHICLE AND PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE SUMMER VILLAGE OF WHISPERING HILLS WHEREAS, Section 16 of the Highway Traffic Act, being Chapter the Revised Statutes of Alberta 1980 and amendments thereto, provides that the Council of a municipality may pass bylaws for the regulation and control of vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and WHEREAS, Council deems it proper and expedient to regulate anc control such traffic, NOW, THEREFORE the Council of the Summer Village of Whispering Hills duly assembled enacts as follows: ## DEFINITIONS - In this bylaw the word: "Act" shall mean the Highway Traffic - (a) Act of the Province of Alberta. - (b) Any word, expression or terms used in the bylaw shall have the same meaning as in the said Act. - (c) In this bylaw the word "Village" shall mean the Summer Village of Whispering Hills in the Province of Alberta, Canada. - :2. POWER OF VILLAGE OFFICIALS The Village Council is hereby authorized to prescribe where traffic control devices are to be located and the Municipal Administrator shall keep a record of such locations which shall be open to public inspection. 3. SPEED LIMITS The maximum speed on all highways within the Summer Village of Whispering Hills is 30 kilometers per hour. 4. PARKING There shall be no parking of any vehicles in the boat launch area nor on the approach to the area from Ella Mae Crescent. There shall be no camping or open fires in the boat launch area. ## 5. PENALTIES - 6. A notice of form commonly called a traffic tag having a printed wording approved by the Council of the Summer Village of Whispering Hills may be issued by a Peace Officer or by a Bylaw Enforcement Officer to any person alleged to have breached any provisions of this bylaw and the said notice shall require the payment to such official as the Council may designate, the amount specified in Section 6 for that particular breach of the said bylaw. - 7. - A traffic tag shall be demo to be sufficiently served: - For every parking offence a voluntary fine of $10.00 (ten dollars) shall be payable bv a traffic tag. ## SUMMER VILLAGE OF WHISPERING HILLS ## BYLAW 10-84 TO REGULATE AND CONTROLL VEHICLE AND PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE SUMMER VILLAGE OF WHISPERING HILLS IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA - a) if served personally on the accused, or - b) mailed by double registered mail, to the address of the registered owner of the vehicle concerned or to the person concerned, or 3. if attached to or left upon the vehicle in respect of which the offence 1s alleged to have been committed. 8. This bylaw shall come into full force and effect on the final day of passing thereof.
