BOWEN ISLAND MUNICIPALITY
BYLAW NO. 109, 2004
A bylaw to amend the Greater Vancouver Regional
District Electoral Area C Waste Collection, Removal,
and Disposal Regulations Bylaw No. 729, 1992, as
amended by Greater Vancouver Regional District
Electoral Area C Waste Collection, Removal, and
Disposal Regulations Bylaw No. 927, 1999, .
WHEREAS the Regional Board of the Greater Vancouver Regional District has adopted Bowen
Island Specified Area Establishment Bylaw No. 188, 1975 and amendments thereto for the
provision of collection, removal and disposal of waste in Electoral Area C;
AND WHEREAS the Regional Board of the Greater Vancouver Regional District has adopted
Electoral Area C Waste Collection, Removal, and Disposal Regulations Bylaw No. 729, 1992 to
provide for the operation and control of a system of collection, removal and disposal of waste,
and the setting of rates for the collection of waste;
AND WHEREAS the Council of Bowen Island Municipality now deems it advisable to amend
the Greater Vancouver Regional District Electoral Area C Waste Collection, Removal, and
Disposal Regulations Bylaw No. 729, 1992, as amended by Greater Vancouver Regional District
Electoral Area C Waste Collection, Removal, and Disposal Regulations Bylaw No. 927, 1999, to
provide for an increase and change to the rate structure for the collection of waste.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of Bowen Island Municipality, in open meeting assembled,
enacts as follows:
1. Greater Vancouver Regional District Electoral Area C Waste Collection, Removal, and
Disposal Regulations Bylaw No. 729, 1992, as amended by Greater Vancouver Regional
District Electoral Area C Waste Collection, Removal, and Disposal Regulations Bylaw
No. 927, 1999, is hereby amended by deleting Schedule "A" entitled "Rates for Collection of
Waste" and substituting therefor the attached Schedule "A" entitled "Rates for Collection of
Waste".
2. That Schedule "A - Rates for Collection of Waste" attached hereto shall be an integral part of
this bylaw.

3. This bylaw may be cited for all purposes as "Bowen Island Municipality Waste Collection,
Removal, and Disposal Regulations Amendment Bylaw No. 109, 2004"
