# Utility Bills We collect utility fees each year to pay for water and sewer services. These are flat annual fees based on the services provided to the property. ## Utility Fees Most of the change in 2026 is driven by Metro Vancouver charges, with the remainder tied to the City's infrastructure work and operating costs to deliver reliable utility services: * Water: +$34.39 (+6.53%) -- Metro Vancouver up; City portion down * Sewer: +$46.49 (+8.97%) -- most driven by Metro Vancouver * 7 of every 10 dollars in the increase come from regional costs Multi-family homes have lower water and sewer rates due to lower usage, and only pay solid waste fees if they have opted in to City waste collection services.
