TOWN OF PORT MCNEILL BYLAW NO. 680. 2018 Being a bylaw of the Town of Port McNeill, hereafter referred to as the "Town of Port McNeill Water Utility Service Fee Increase Bylaw" to provide for the establishment of the methodology for setting the annual fees charged for Water Utility Service Fees within the Municipality of Port McNeill. NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Town of Port McNeill in open meeting assembled enacts as follows: 1. TITLE This bylaw may be cited as "Town of Port McNeill Water Utility Service Fee Increase Bylaw 680,2018. 2. ANNUAL RATE INCREASE 1. That effective January 1,2018, and on January pI of each subsequent year, the Water Bylaw Service Fees charged on an annual basis be increased by the net change in the consumer price index of the previous year plus one. 11. For greater certainty effective January 1,2018, the fees will increase by the net change in the Consumer Price Index for 2016. On January 1,2019, the fees will increase by the net change in the Consumer Price Index for 2017. In subsequent years this pattern will continue to be followed. 111. Each calculation will be rounded up to the next multiple of $0.10.
