Bylaw No. 793, 2018
A Bylaw to amend Development
Cost Charge Bylaw No. 516, 2002
WHEREAS the Council ofthe Village of Valemount wishes to amend "Vi|lage of Valemount
Development
Cost Charge Bylaw No. 516, 2002", to provide for "Eligible Developments" for
Development
Cost Charge exemptions
pursuant
to the Local Government
Act;
NOW THEREFOREthe Council for the Village of Valemount, in open meeting lawfully
assembled, hereby enacts
as follows:
1.
CITATION
1.1. This Bylaw may be cited for all purposes
as "Village of Valemount Development
Cost
Charge Bylaw No. 516/02, Amendment
Bylaw No. 793, 2018."
2.
AMENDMENTS
2.1. By--|awNo 516, 2002 is hereby amended by adding to Section 4, the following as cl);
d) "E|igib|e Development"
means a development
that is eligible for development
cost
charges to be waived, and includes the following:
a) Not-for-profit rental housing, including supportive
living housing;
b) For-profit affordable rental housing;
c) A subdivision of small lots that is designed to result in low greenhouse
gas
emissions;
d) A development
that is designed to result in a low environmental
impact.
