## THE CORPORATION OF THE VILLAGE OF WARFIELD BYLAW #972 A Bylaw to Establish Sanitary Sewer User Fees WHEREAS Division 2 of Part 7 of the Community Charter [SBC 2003] Chapter 26 empowers the Council of the Village of Warfield to impose a fee in respect of a service provided, and AND WHEREAS it is Council's policy that a fair and reasonable share of all costs associated with the collection and treatment of sanitary sewer waste is recovered by way of a user fee charged to those users of the sanitary sewer service exempted from a sanitary sewer parcel tax; NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Village of Warfield, in open meeting assembled, ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. To those properties on the annual B.C. Assessment Authority Authenticated Assessment Roll of the Village of Warfield exempted from the Sanitary Sewer Parcel Tax imposed under "Village of Warfield Sanitary Sewer Parcel Tax Bylaw 971, 2025", the following sanitary sewer user fees shall apply in 2025: 2. In accordance with Paragraph 1, rates charged are described as follows: - a. Rate 1 - For the first unit of each property subject to charge under this Bylaw. - b. Rate 2 - In addition to Rate 1, for all additional units contained on a property that is subject to a Rate 1 charge and described as follows: - i. Apartment suite or duplex; - ii. Trailers/Mobile homes in Trailer Home Parks. - c. Rate 3 - In addition to Rate 1, for all additional units contained on a property and described as follows: - i. Each additional room of a Motel; - ii. Each residential unit in conjunction with a store or business; - iii. Each additional classroom in a school. 3. The charges established with this Bylaw shall be included on the annual property tax notice and will be in effect for the calendar year 2025. 4. Where an account invoiced pursuant to this Bylaw remains unpaid after December 31, 2025, the outstanding balance shall be property taxes in arrears in the following taxation year. 5. This Bylaw shall come into full force and effect on the final adoption thereof. 6. Bylaw cited as "Village of Warfield Sanitary Sewer User Fees 2024 Bylaw 956, 2024" is repealed in its entirety. 7. This Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as "Village of Warfield Sanitary Sewer User Fees 2025 Bylaw 972, 2025". | a.
